Wow, I am not familiar with Richard Pinhas, but I think that his perception of both Gas, and the evolution of music in general, was one of the most spot-on quotes so far. There really is an ocean of music in existence and it takes great effort to sift through it and find the true gems. There have been some tidal waves throughout history where a multitude of good music has come from this wave, but these waves are few and far between. Em:t was just this, a tidal wave (of its own) when electronic music was just about to cross over into a very mainstream realm, and surprisingly, everything the label released was a 'true gem'. Years later, when there seems to be limited commercial viability for electronic music, it is so good to see artists like Mat Jarvis and Paul Frankland doing what they love best, and doing it blindingly well. I realize that they never had commercial success as their motivation and I applaud them for this. But I feel that I (and many others) were able to discover them because someone somewhere saw this wave, and wanted to include something that maybe defied convention, or at the very least wanted to open people up to something they might have missed otherwise.

Well, what can I say? As you commented in "Gas Discovery", and "Shape of Things to Come" videos, I've always listened to the ambient music.. I also have a bit music I made last week in which I have been inspired by you, you might want to hear.
Wish you a good future.

I've got a question: What ever happened to Gas 2298? Is it still floating around out there somewhere, in suspended animation?
